LESSON PLAN

Subject Area: English                                         Grade: Seven grade
Topic: At the restaurant                                       Date: September 27th            Time: 4 hours
Background: according to students’ knowledge, we can use the appropriate vocabulary at the restaurant in order to use in a real context.

Ministry Expectation(s):
·         Students obtain vocabulary of food.
·         Students learn the grammatical form to make questions in a restaurant
·         Students can interact in a restaurant at the time of order whatever kind of food in appropriate way.
INTRODUCTION: I will use a video related about restaurant environment which will be a guide to students in different situations that happen in a restaurant.
MATERIALS:
·         Computers
·         Pictures
·         Textbook
·         Copies
·         Television
·         Real food
PROCESS: The activities are:
·         Watching the video
·         Show through pictures the vocabulary about fast food and slow food
·         Explain the grammatically structure  about modal verbs and idioms
·         Talking about food expressions and conversation topics
·         Students writing their favorite food
·         Role play ordering at the restaurant

NOTES:
CLOSURE: carry out the students to the real context for practice all the vocabulary learned in the process.
WAYS TO IMPROVE LESSON FOR NEXT TIME:

Application/Follow-up:

Assessment: according to teacher’s explanation and the activities developed in the classrooms, the students have use the vocabulary learned. Besides students might to present test where will be necessary use skills as writing, listening, reading, and speaking.

The abc of teacher

Most of the teachers who start working in public or private schools just think to put in practice all knowledge learned at the university. But when teachers get to schools they realize that it is very complex work. In a classroom with thirty or forty students each one with a different necessity and different way to learn and limited resources.

For that reason many teachers have failed because government and educational institutions do not give to teachers the tools required to obtain good results. And the teacher always is the guilty for the poor results. But if you are a critical personal you realize that teachers are not the only responsible in the academic process.

However to solve this problem it is important that the government invest more economic resources to improve the academic infrastructure technology and educational material. And the educational institutions along with teachers have the responsibility to design teaching strategies to apply in the classroom.

On the one hand if we can pretend to get good results in a few time it could be a fallacy because education problem it is very extensive and cover different aspects which demand a carefully attention. On the second hand it is necessary make a depth analysis of each land marks of educational problem.
